About BODW 2004
Business of Design Week 2004 : Lifestyle Asia is about design, branding and innovation, about Asian and global trends, and how companies whether large or small can make good use of design to increase their competitiveness and multiply their business.
For the third year in a row, the Business of Design Week (BODW) provides a unique platform for top designers of all disciplines worldwide to meet in Hong Kong and share their insights on design. It gives designers the perfect demonstration ground to share with the business community, why and how a good design can make the difference.
This year, the Organiser, Hong Kong Design Centre (HKDC), is going to rekindle last year's legacy, and presents Business of Design Week 2004 : Lifestyle Asia, together with co-Organiser, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. A series of conferences and forums will be conducted by famous names in design and business, under the theme "LifeStyle Asia". A Design Exhibition and other outreach programmes will also be held under the banner of BODW 2004.
Business of Design Week 2004 : Lifestyle Asia demonstrates how design is not only about appearance and packaging, but also about adding value to your products and services and giving your business a bigger return. Design happens throughout the entire chain of business activities: from the design concept and strategy to the use of machinery, manufacturing processes, through product functioning, packaging, to sales strategy and pricing, a good design in every stage will not only help achieve the best possible profit, but also enhance corporate images.
